At the heart of the University Hill area is the Crouse-Marshall business district, a bustling commercial district that features a diverse mix of local eateries, specialty shops, and services. The neighborhood serves area residents; local professionals; students from Syracuse University, SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry, and SUNY Upstate Medical University, as well as the many visitors to the area each day. The main thoroughfares of South Crouse Avenue and Marshall Street are where the campus meets the community.
